Bleed is where you extend your image beyond the edge where your final piece will be cut. So if Color touches the edge of your page it will need to extend over the edge by at least 1/8"
In order for us to print we need you to convert your images to CMYK. Now we found a small video on how to do that with Photoshop. Not that we are endorsing Photoshop or this guys web site but the info is good. If that is not indepth here is a longer artical in text
We use mostly Round dots for our plates. With them, there are stable and predicable results, it helps us with constancy across many paper stocks. Round dots are the way to go when you expect heavy dot gain. They extend mid-tone range and keep highlights cleaner.
